Our little pilgrim
Her three godparents are: Sabrina, Shelley, and Pete. May they always love Kensie and be there for her when she needs someone besides her parents for advice or help.
Interesting to note is that the oil they use is really pungent... and very hard to wash out. She smelled like the stuff for 2 days. But, our little angel is christened and safe from evil for now.
Thanks to everyone who gave her special presents to mark the occasion. So young, and already she has enough jewelry to warrant a jewelry box. Good thing Gigi got her one... with a little ballerina inside that twirls when you open the lid! And thanks to both grandmas for hosting the open house. It was a great way to let people spend a little extra time with Kensie Bean and toast the occasion. Cheers!
Christmas
Some of her favorite toys were her stuffed pony, her elmo, and a mini piano. She was also very impressed with the array of fashionable clothes from Gigi. Our daughter is always dressed to impress in the latest Parisian fashions!
In keeping with the Crawford tradition, Kensie wore a funny hat. Her head was too big for it so Mimi had to add a little bit of material to the back.
Here is a pick of our happy family enjoying a white Christmas.

Sick Baby
Well, Kensie finally got sick. Really sick. This video is after I first discovered her fever and gave her some Tylenol. Apparently that stuff works, because she was in a great mood (for a little while). Over the course of the day, her sniffles and coughs got worse. It was hard to feed her. I put her to bed at her normal time, but she woke up about 10pm crying. Even with the inclined mattress, she woke herself up from coughing. When I picked her up I realized how hot she was! Her little face was all pink and her eyes were all gummy with eye boogies! Her temp was 100.4 under her arm, which means her real temp was 1 to 2 degrees higher. I tried to feed her, which didn't go over very well. I gave her Tylenol. Gave her a warm bath. And just walked around with her for a while. When she fell asleep I put her in the bear chair, so she could sleep somewhat upright. The post nasal drip was what was bothering her the most I think. That seemed to be the right thing to do, because she slept until 8am this morning. I woke up at 6am and got ready, so when she did wake up we could go right to the doctor. The doctor checked her out, and verified that she didn't have pink eye or an ear infection, just a nasty cold. Because of her fever and fussiness with eating I couldn't take her to daycare. Today she has been on and off. When she gets super fussy and hot I give her meds and she is happy for a little while. Then it's back to sick baby mode. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow, because I have a lot to do at work before we leave for Michigan!

Arm munching
Yesterday, when Chris had Kensie in his lap at the table in front of his computer, she fell over and knocked her mouth on the edge! Ouch! So, I was being extra careful to hold my arm around her this morning. Needless to say, she found this to be an opportunity to chew something new... my arm. I think we have officially entered the drooling stage.
By the way, I just think it is so cute how she hums and talks to herself now. And I think quite soothing when she's on my bouncing leg...
Quintessential Meyers
In the Meyers household we love tongues. Not sure why, but when we see a tongue, we want to grab it! Thank god Kensie is embracing this odd quirk of ours.
Good morning
This is pretty much how we start each day with Kensie. Not too shabby if you like happy babies.
