Trip to Atlanta

This past weekend we went to visit our cousins in Atlanta. Adam, Nanci, Hadley, and Ian. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality. It has been years since we were last there, so it was great to meet Hadley and see how much Ian has grown! Ian is now a rambunctious 4 year old into all things Spiderman. Hadley is so sweet, but kind of a drama queen! Hadley and Kensie enjoyed each other's company... they liked to look at each other and you could tell that Hadley wanted to play with Kensie. But, Kensie just isn't as mobile as her year old cousin.

Chris and Ian had a lot of fun together. I think Chris is going to be a great dad (he already is, don't get me wrong!) when Kensie gets older. They will have a lot of fun doing things like in the picture below!

Gigi and Pops also came to Atlanta. Here is a picture of Gigi reading to Kensie! Kensie is just getting so smart! I mean, she is still a baby. But she will look at things you give her. You can just tell she is figuring out so much more about the world around her.

Winter white!

Today I took Kensie out into the snow. Just for a little while because she is still sick. The weather was the warmest it has been in days. Somewhat sunny and about 35 degrees, no wind.

She was definitely mesmorized by all the white. Except for her face, she was toasty warm in her Columbia bunting!

This is her in snow angel pose. She didn't actually move much. I think she was still in shock from my dropping her in 6 inches of snow!

Sick and Tired

Kensie has been fighting a virus of some sort that past few days. It has been tough to figure out how to make her happy, when she just cries and cries. Above is a winning moment for the day... right after she ate!

Baptism Part Duex

We put Kensie in her christening gown today to get some good shots. It was hard to do at the church, with everyone wanting to hold her and then the oil from the ceremony completely wrecked her doo... if you know what I mean. Anyway, enjoy some pics of our little angel all dressed up. She was pretty good, until the end.... you'll see what I mean!

First "meal"

The first meal went pretty well. A little rice cereal mixed with mama's magic gold. It took a few tries but she definitely swallowed most of it. And liked to chew on the spoon after each bite!

The whale tapes

Kensie has been discovering her voice. Sometimes it is cute cooing, or laughing, or even pre-babbling. But sometimes, it is very disturbing. At first we thought she was upset, so we'd run to check on her. But she was usually just fine. Staring into space, chewing on her hand... making her whale noises!

She can reach the floor!

Kensie loves her jumperoo now. Her toes finally reach the floor and she can jump and jump! Since she can grab things now, she likes the toys all around her. As you can see, she just wears herself out in the thing...

Fairy Godmother Visits

Kensie's fairy godmother, Heather, came to visit this weekend. She brought a wonderful box full of clothes for Kensie! Including two bathing suits.

One bikini... that Chris said was too risk'e for his modest daughter. And one tankini with the cutest little matching cover up to go with it. They will be perfect for when we go to South Carolina in May. Another very notable outfit was the Juicy outfit with matching bib. It has the signature Juicy scottie dog on the back. I can't wait for her to grow just a little bit, so she can start wearing it and all the other 6 month clothes she has.

Big girl!

Kensie is such a big girl now. She can sit up so much better on her own. And when she wants something, she can purposely grab it. In this picture she just finished her bath and I was combing her hair. And she grabbed the comb from my hand... totally mesmorized by the grooming tool. I forsee many hours spent fighting over bathroom time with her!

Christmas at the Terenzi's

We got the chance to visit with Sabrina, Danny, Eliana, Dominic, Keri, Dave, and Vaughn over the holiday. The twins are eating real food, so I offered to help out and get some practice. (Kensie is going to start cereal this month.) Eliana was a good sport in the beginning, but after a while she was like "who is this person??" And she kept trying to get out of her chair and look at her mama. Dominic was in a defiant mood for Sabrina that night. He found spitting his food back out to be loads of fun! Sabrina, joking of course, threatened to throw him out the window and make him a real snow baby.

Kensie was so happy to borrow the twins' play gym while we were in Michigan. Travelling with a baby means lots of luggage, and there just wasn't any room to bring her own gym. All in all, we had three pullmans (2 very large, one regular), a duffle bag, the pump bag, and the diaper bag... and the stroller, carseat, and base. I must say, I really am happy they have those family lanes at the airport, so our 10 bins and bags don't seem like such an inconveniece to people behind us. If they get in our lane, sucks to be them. They had other options! Anyway, here is a cute photo of Kensie in the gym. She is a super roller now, and can go back and forth now. She can get to her back really fast, but only goes back on her tummy once in a while. We usually flip her back after she whines for a few minutes. Lazy baby!

Sad reindeer!

We bought the cutest reindeer costume for Kensie for the holiday season. Needless to say, she didn't love wearing it, probably because it is very warm. I guess it is more of an outdoor bunting type of outfit. But, that didn't stop us from trying very hard to get a picture of her in it in my parents very warm house. Yes, the house was WARM! I grew up seeing my breath when I woke up in the winter time. But, frugal grandpa made an exception for Kensie and kept the thermostat in the 70s while we visited. What a spoiled baby! Kensie with Mimi... trying very hard to get her to smile. But, this was the best we got.
